So I had this idea to make my son a mud kitchen fo So I had this idea to make my son a mud kitchen for his birthday. I’m trying to use only scrap wood because I have a ton and I started it three days before his birthday because something is wrong with me. I think it’s actually looking pretty cute but in the spirit of keeping costs down I used this mistinted paint that seemed in the harsh fluorescent lighting of the paint section like it would be a cute yellow but it’s actually tennis ball green 😅 What would you do? Repaint it??

I’ve done probably a dozen tiling projects acros I’ve done probably a dozen tiling projects across four houses now and I can confidently say it’s my favourite DIY project. It doesn’t have to be intimidating either! So here’s a one minute explainer to break down the basics — if I were starting over I’d first try a backsplash or fireplace surround then move up to floors and wet spaces but either way you should try it 💪
