Jingle all the damn way, friends, it’s (kind of, fairly close to) Christmas. And if you pile together all the ridiculous, stressful, hard, isolating trials of 2020, I think it’s fair we start Christmas shopping for the loved ones we haven’t seen in months. And what better way to prepare than a holiday gift guide?
If you don’t already, make sure to sign up to our weekly newsletter and we’ll send a set of free printable gift tags as a thanks for following along!
Because basically all I do is trawl the internet and save favorites to my lists, I’ve got a whole bunch of cool, unique gift ideas for everyone in the family (and even a few ideas for that coworker/in-law/acquaintance you’re kind of obligated to buy a gift for but don’t actually know that well… you know the guy).

FOR YOUR NEW HOMEOWNER FRIENDS
Marshmallow roasting sticks
I think we can all agree foraging for sticks is kind of gross when you think about what could’ve touched that ground filth beforehand. Also, if you’re anything like us you’ve picked poorly and your marshmallow falls into the fiery abyss when your stick breaks. These are so cute, so practical, and something you wouldn’t usually think of (plus I’d bet your friend doesn’t already own these).
Marshmallow Roasting Sticks, Set of 4 – $69
Personalized pie plate
If you’re a parent, grandparent or family member of any kind really, you’d be hard-pressed to find something more sentimental or tear-inducing than this gift.
BRB, making sweet childhood memories with our girl so I can gift this to her in 20 years.
Cheeky doormat
This one’s just for fun, but I would personally laugh so hard if someone gave this to me as a housewarming gift. Let’s probably put it away when Aunt Betty visits, but why not have a giggle every time you come home?
Custom cheeseboard
A personalized cheeseboard is one of those things you probably wouldn’t buy for yourself, but it’s so nice to have and makes you look fancy AF when friends are over for drinks. It would also make a really cute open shelf decor item between uses.
Personalized cheeseboard – $46
FOR YOUR FOODIE FRIEND
Bike six-pack holder
Have you ever been meeting friends in the park and needed a place to store your beer? Yeah, us too. We’ve done the awkward stick-the-six-pack-under-your-wing thing, too. This would be perfect for your cyclist friend, and it can be used to keep other items safe in transit, too.
Foodie dice
This is such a cool idea for a friend that’s always hosting dinner parties, shopping at the farmers market or narrates their own cooking show while making dinner. Basically you roll the dice to figure out what you’ll cook that night and use it as inspiration or stick to it exactly.
Just as I was writing this I had a thought about how fun it would be to do as a friends group and make a potluck out of it!
Cocktail print
Perfect for a bar cart, right? Love this as a gift for a young girl or guy decorating their first apartment or house, too. You know the type, they own like three dishes, one wooden spoon, they have a bare fridge but a full liquor cabinet.
Head chef/Sous chef shirts
ADORABLE. Like, if you’re a foodie parent and have a little assistant it couldn’t be any cuter.
Taco holder
Another one that falls under the category of ‘they probably don’t already own this but will get a lot of use out of it’. When the taco falls over and all the toppings fall out? That hits different. Don’t let it happen. Get a taco holder.
FOR YOUR CRAFTY FRIEND
Retro camper bird feeder
This is adorable, and a cute project your crafty friend or family could do. It’s a dream of ours to one day make over a camper, but for now we can do a bird house, which is kind of the same, right?
Paintable Camper Bird House playset – $25
Apron
So, yeah, this could probably go under the food column, but I’ve personally been looking for an apron to use for house projects for ages and this would be perfect. Basically at this point ¾ of our wardrobe is paint-covered T-shirts and shorts.
Linen Apron with 2 pockets – $9.50
Funny embroidery kit
For your friend that’s taken up approximately 1,257 hobbies during quarantine, this will probably just about sum them all up into one.
FOR KIDS
Be Kind pennant
Two years ago if you would’ve told me I had any goddamn clue what a good gift for kids would be I wouldn’t believe it, but here I am, favoriting the shit out of some kid stuff that’s leaving me deceased. Having a baby really turns you into a softie.
If this little pennant isn’t just the sentiment we could all use right now, I don’t know what is. Plus, it’s such a cute vintage shape and perfectly neutral to blend in with your nursery or kids’ room decor.
Be kind felt pennant flag – $32
Elephant wall hook
I wish I could decorate like 30 kids rooms without having 30 kids, because safari/animal theme would definitely be one of them, and these little elephant wall hooks would be top of the wishlist.
Name puzzle
Kids love anything with their name on it, especially if you named your kid something like Asheleigh’e or Taiylore and they can’t ever get a keychain. Ever. This name puzzle is perfect.
Be a friendly face print
Another sentiment we could all use, and you could even sneak this one in as an adult gift.
Be A Friendly Face Art Print – $22
FOR PARENTS
Drawing necklace
If you want to make every mom and grandma cry for the rest of time, this is the gift to do it. What a sweet idea.
Actual Kids Drawing Necklace – $29.62
Initial necklace
While we’re on the sentimental necklace train, this one is a little more subtle and an everyday item. You can also add to it if you’ve got more kids or grandkids on the way.
Baby keepsake box
Full disclosure: Our baby is almost nine months old and all her little hospital hats, footprint photos, teeny baby crap like that is in a Ziploc bag. I searched forever for a baby keepsake box that wasn’t covered in bows or unicorns or hearts, and this timeless wood one was my favorite find.
FOR PET LOVERS
Custom pet portrait
This would be so cute by a leash holder at the back door, or displayed in a bookcase or on a shelf. If that bitch 2020 has taken away your friend’s best furry friend, this would also be such a sweet way to commemorate them.
Leash holder
Well, speaking of leash holders, how cute is this personalized one? It’s neutral to go with a lot of home decor styles, and is just plain practical when it comes to storing pet stuff in its own little dedicated space.
Cute pet bowls
To round out the adorable pet products, these personalized pet bowls add the perfect touch to your pet’s little area. We personally have these god-awful giant metal bowls that spill water everywhere and clang when our hungry dogs decide to sing us the song of their people, but I strive to have a cute dog food/leash/bed space because why shouldn’t it fit in with the rest of your decor?
Personalized Dog Bowl – $45.95
STOCKING STUFFERS UNDER $20
Bingo
Before you laugh at us for being senior citizens, we have this exact set and have used it so much already. We originally bought it as a socially distant activity to do with friends (because you can stay spread out and don’t all touch the same things), but have grown to legitimately love it.
Ice cream coozie
Okay, so I got this for Alex last year and it has been used more than we’re proud of. If you’re a Ben & Jerry’s fiend like us, get it. Just trust us.
Dumpster fire ornament
I meannnnn, the U.S. Government should be issuing these to everyone at this point. And next year in 2021 when we hang this guy on the tree, we can laugh about the mess of a year we all had (hopefully).
Dumpster fire 2020 ornament – $14.99
Cooler light
If you’ve ever been camping or at a house party and had to dig your hand through an icy cooler tundra to find your drink, you know how valuable this bad boy would be.
Coghlan’s Inside Cooler Lid Light – $9.64
Cord keeper
Dangling cords grind my gears like nothing else, and especially since we’re all working at home with our laptops, phone chargers, essential oil diffusers, coffee cup warmer, whatever else, we may as well do it in style. Another plus is that these cute little guys look way more expensive than they are!
Large personalized cord keeper – $11.99
Daddy’s/Mommy’s turn coin
We would’ve definitely used this in Eleanor’s early months. Sure to bring a smile to any expecting or new parents.
Fun New Parents Decision Coin – $7.02
Phone charger
Yeah, I know, a phone charger seems really boring but you know how iPhone charger always get worn and do that thing where the wires start looking like an electrical hazard? This seems like a real game-changer in that department.
iPhone Charger 10ft 3 Pack – $13.99
