Everyone loves some time at a resort, but this last week in Hawaii got me thinking about how opinionated this inherently thrifty gal is when it comes to travel (especially with little kids 😅).
There were beautiful pools and good food, but by day three I found myself wanting a neighbourhood to wander or a market stall to haggle and nervous sweat at. The last few years of dragging two toddlers through cobblestone streets and bucking them into tiny rental cars have changed me I guess.
