Budget-Friendly DIY Pantry Makeover: Before and After Reveal
Weāre finally done! This pantry makeover is finished! This beautiful beast of a pantry makeover is finished and has added so much functionality and storage to this 1,000 square foot home of ours. Iāve seriously been walking by a dozen times a day to sneak a peek, and not just because thatās where the snacks are kept.
When we first toured this house before we bought it, this room was a pantry and had the washer/dryer hookups, but wasnāt much more than a dumping ground for cleaning supplies. Ironically, it also looked like it hadnāt been cleaned in a while.

Before we get to the glorious after photos of this pantry makeover, letās take a step back to the before:
We knew we needed a functioning laundry, because, ya know, weāve got a baby, and that the 27-year-old water heater really needed to go (we replaced it with a tankless unit outside, which freed up SO MUCH space). Moving the fridge into the room made a huge difference in the kitchen space, and now we can say we have a butler’s pantry so weāre at least 300% fancier and call each other Jeeves on the daily.
So now, without dragging it along for too long, here are the beautiful after photos:
